Dr. Lisa Lear was once again recognized by her peers as one of Tucson’s Top Periodontists. She has lived and practiced in Tucson for over 25 years. She is a board certified periodontist, Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Lear was born and raised in Indiana and graduated in 1983 from Indiana University, Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts, Double Major in Chemistry and Biology. She attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry, Indianapolis receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors in oral medicine and research in 1987, and her Specialist in Periodontics Certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry with a minor in Oral Pathology in 1990.
Dr. Lear is committed to education and learning! She is a Board Director and a Past President of the Pima Dental Study Club, and leads one of the national Spear Study Clubs in Tucson. She hosted an Implant Synergy Training Program for dentists in 2009 – 2010. Dr. Lear has lectured extensively on gum recession and its treatment.
She was a clinical instructor of Periodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Lear is constantly learning the latest and innovative techniques to provide state-of-the-art care. Implants, periodontal cosmetic and regenerative procedures are a major part of her practice.
